Outer Banks Swinging Mullets Add Spartanburg Infielder Lane Schrader to 2026 Roster

The Outer Banks Swinging Mullets continue to add versatility to the 2026 roster with the addition of Lane Schrader from Spartanburg Methodist College.

Schrader brings a valuable summer-ball profile to the Mullets, an athletic player with middle-infield experience and the ability to contribute in multiple ways. At Spartanburg Methodist, he appeared in 22 games, hit .269, recorded 2 doubles, scored 9 runs, and even delivered 2.0 scoreless innings on the mound in limited pitching work.

Before college, Schrader built his game in South Carolina prep baseball as a shortstop/second baseman from Eastside High School, where he showed athletic measurables that support his defensive versatility, including a 7.57-second 60-yard dash and 85 mph exit velocity.

“Lane gives us the kind of flexibility every summer roster needs,” said Mikey Reynolds, Head Coach of the Outer Banks Swinging Mullets. “He can move around, compete, and help you win in different ways. Players like that matter over the course of a long summer.”

The Outer Banks Swinging Mullets compete in the Old North State League (ONSL) and play home games at First Flight High School’s Baseball Complex, offering fans a fun, affordable, family-friendly summer baseball experience throughout the season.
