The Outer Banks Swinging Mullets are proud to announce the addition of Ryan Wiehe, a catcher from Hillsdale College, to their 2026 summer collegiate baseball roster.

Wiehe, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, has established himself as a well-rounded competitor with strong offensive and defensive tools. At Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, he received Honorable Mention All-Ohio and was named North Coast Conference Player of the Year, batting .387 with 12 doubles, 3 home runs, and 30 RBI. During his prep career, he also became the program’s career leader in doubles while anchoring the team behind the plate.

Since joining the Hillsdale College Chargers, Wiehe has contributed at the collegiate level and delivered key hits in competitive games, showcasing his bat and baseball instincts.

“Ryan is exactly the kind of glue-guy we want on the roster,” said Mikey Reynolds, Head Coach of the Outer Banks Swinging Mullets. “He’s a proven performer at every level he’s played, and we’re excited to see him bring his leadership and skill set to the OBX this summer.”

The Outer Banks Swinging Mullets compete in the Old North State League (ONSL) and play home games at First Flight High School’s Baseball Complex, providing fans with a fun, competitive summer baseball experience.
